Simpson University's Mathew Jones Inducted into Phi Alpha Theta

Simpson University's Mathew Jones of Redding, Calif., was inducted into the Phi Alpha Theta Honor Society campus chapter this spring.

Phi Alpha Theta, the national honor society for history, has more than 350,000 members and 860 chapters. The Simpson University chapter was installed in 2013.

Jones's major is history.

To be eligible for Phi Alpha Theta, a student must complete a minimum of 12 semester hours (4 courses) in history, achieve a minimum GPA of 3.1 in history courses, and an overall GPA of 3.0 or better.
